Amy Holmes

Amy M. Holmes is a news anchor, formerly on Glenn Becks TheBlaze TV and a former host of TheBlazes news discussion program Real News. In 2015, she began hosting Way Too Early, which airs weekdays on MSNBC at 530160a.m. Eastern Time, as a leadin to Morning Joe. She also has appeared as an independent political contributor for CNN and on Fox News, and has appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher several times.

Holmes was born in Lusaka, Zambia, to an African father and a white American mother. She was raised in her mothers native Seattle, Washington, after her parents divorced, when she was three.
